Around this time each year, I am heavily involved in putting together the Budget for the coming financial year. This year is no exception, with Budget Day set for March 7. The annual Budget affects everyone in Hong Kong, so I believe it is important to let you know about our budgetary landscape. This website contains a wealth of information relating to the Budget. It provides a snapshot of our fiscal position, outlines the government's financial management philosophy and principles and provides information on the general basics of budgets. It is my earnest wish that all members of the public make use of this website to gain a better understanding of how we formulate our budgets in Hong Kong.
