We estimate that total government expenditure for 2004-05 will be $258.7 billion. Expenditure on Education, Social Welfare, Health and Security will account for about 60 per cent of the total, with 23 per cent for Education, 26.4 per cent for Social Welfare and Health, and 10.5 per cent for Security. In the future allocation of expenditure, consideration will continue to be given to the community's priorities. |
